is situated directly in front of the lake, but is privately set aside from the other cabins. Large lawns surround the cabin on all side, and Tamarack is the only cabin located next to the Heron Creek, the large creek connecting Lake Colby to Lower Saranac. The creek is home to blue herons, ducks, river otters, beavers and other wonderful wildlife. The grandest of all our cabins, Tamarack features classic cedar beam and post cathedral ceilings over the spacious living area that has couches and chairs. The décor is rustic, with hand-hewn cedar log through out the cabin. From the living room, the large panoramic windows stare directly at the lake, offering uninterupted views of Lower Saranac. Find a chair on the large, private, screened porch and enjoy your morning coffee viewing the entire 5 mile length of the lake. Tamarack has a large kitchen with dining area, living room and two bedrooms downstairs. In the first spacious bedroom you will find a queen size bed and and comfortable reading chair. In the second bedroom are two full size beds. Hidden amongst the cedar beams, a step ladder gracefully descends from the ceiling when you need to access the second floor. Once in the sleeping loft, you will find two twin size beds. Perfect for larger families or those seeking additional privacy, Tamarack is the perfect setting for your Adirondack vacation.
